For the second time in as many seasons, Spurs hopes of beating a big four club on their own patch were dashed by a shocking decision from Howard Webb as we lost at Chelsea. Given this and a plethora of incidents against these same sides over the years we are asking whether Spurs fans think there is a bias towards the top four that means we are increasingly unlikely to get the results we deserve against them. You can vote now on the right-hand side of the site!
TPC has given three different reasons as to why there may be a bias towards the top four, starting with the effect going against the big sides could have on their careers given the media frenzy and witch hunt that inevitably follows any decisions given against them. The other options include referees subconsciously shying away from giving decisions against them or them not being strong enough in the face of provocation from their stars and managers. Finally, there is the no vote, signalling that the decisions are always fair and correct.
At the moment, all four options are neck and neck so your vote could make a major difference. Vote now on the right-hand side of the site!
